I did the Cds thing, will be glad to be rid of the clutter, also cleaned the kitchen table and most of the conservatory so I can work in there tomorrow night.

I also did an update on my Challenges

    1. Virtual sealed pot - to be paid into each week - rounding my bank account down to the nearest tenner - aim £500 pounds by Nov 15th for present shopping. Current total £19.80 + 2.83(31/12/10)
    Current total = £49.98

    - 2. Sealed pot - change to be put in each Friday, when it is full it will go on the loan (Or into savings if I am too slow!). 3/4 full.
Have put about £1 in there so far.......

    3. £365 in 365 days
Not going well I need to find an account for it. £0
    I owe it £16 pounds

    4. £2 coin -
    So far got £20

    5. All 2ps and 1ps to be saved and paid into what I laughingly call the house fund!
Have a bag ready to pay in. Need to bag some more. Got loads of bank bags though. However I really don't like the smell and the dirty feeling of copper (such a snob!)
    6. I need to e bay
Nothing on e bay and two weeks left to make the fifty quid!

    7. And lose weight.
Nope nothing. First week was miserable about work and second week hurt back. Decided to do WW and Yoga due to back.

My New Year resolutions are as follows

    1. To be debt free as soon as possible.
Making payments ok. Am bit skint.

    2. To lose 3 stone
    Lost nothing!

    3. To be organised in terms of work and home life, marking, remembering birthdays and seeing friends

Have a new diary and have filled it in with birthdays, meetings, and what not. Work stuff still hanging on my fingernails.
Tidied and clean a lot today, feel a little more organised. Need to get a card and present for a birthday meal out next Friday.

    4. To get a good kind thoughtful boyfriend who loves me for me.

Thus far have deleted the ex – first text messages then this week his number. He has texted since but I am not bothered. Sad and annoying though it is, he is who he is and as much as I love him and I absolutely do, he is not the one for me. A good friend yes, but nothing else.

Been on a free dating website and have a couple of possibilities there. I could have two dates if I play my cards right!

Overall I am pleased with today. New diary already has a list in it for tomorrow!

I am so sad (and even sadder for telling you all!)

I have an a4 diary for my ramblings
an A5 diary for day to day and tiny diary for my lists of good thing that happen each day.

on that bombshell I am away to bed

    Love Buffy
    Nevertheless she persisted.

You are going great guns there :T. As I said to DH the other day when everything was upside down (cleared everything out of DS bedroom and only put back what he wants )

A tidy space is a tidy mind - hence my bedroom is full of DS's carp and my brain has moved out :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:!

Don't worry about the weightloss. My sister told me about a program she watched to do with fats and food, she's copying it onto dvd so when I've had a look I'll let you know the details - she is eating more but of the right stuff and lost 5lbs in the last 2 weeks. Its not a faddy diet or anything and they even used TA soldiers to test feeling full etc.

Actually given the state my diet is in this sounds right up my street,
    thanks Pippa xxx

Just watching the news. Jesus its sad. The world is a very hard place.

    Wow I am a little ray of sunshine tonight aren't I ?

Work was ok today, my kids are fab but I have SO MUCH TO DO.

  • I am too anxious to sleep right now so I am going to make a weekly planner thing to organise work for the rest of the week.

I am also going to have cocoa. really don't know what to do about weight and exercise, I don't have time and yes it is an excuse but I have no free evenings. Tonight I fell asleep. I should not have done that. but I felt !!!!ing dreadful. I just want to be by myself.

I have such a stressful couple of weeks coming up. I think it is best I just focus on work and nothing else for while.

Planning is the key I guess. God how !!!!ing boring.

:rotfl: That's not SAD! I've got a book about being creative that says you should write 2 sides of A4 a day of whatever is in your head.

I'm liking the positive vibes of that post Buffy :T My sister had an 8 year relationship that ended badly, so her friends dragged her on holiday (she was like Carrie on SATC The Movie, when she goes on honeymoon alone, when Big jilts her), anyway I digress - whilst there and without looking, she met the "Man of her dreams". 5 years on and much heartache later they split up :( She was devastated, depressed and totally down on herself.

Then approaching her 36th birthday, she decided to throw herself a party and announced that this was the year she was going to find a husband. And she did! They've now been married for 2 years and although she feels that she lost the love of her life and he'll always have a piece of her heart - in her words her hubby is a "better fit" and she's never been happier.

Sorry for waffling, but I think you're showing a good bit of courage and umph and in my experience - that gets results. Once you say what it is you want, the Universe / Cosmic ordering whatever, takes notice and things start moving.

    Go for it! :) xx

Thanks Macgirl, the next two posts aren't quite so cheerful!(back to work and it tends to finish me for a bit!!) Overall I am ok I just think sometimes the enormity of my job and the fact that it nevers ends genuinely frightens me. 18 months 18 months 18 months 18months. Aug 2012. "rocks"

    Ahem :o

Its funny, I have ermm asked the universe for a few things and had good results, the big cynic thinks I was just more focused and so got results but a tiny bit of me (the bit that wears crystals and watches Buffy and Charmed and wonders...there are more things in heaven and earth etc) does hope.

You are a star for answering my dairy and have made me feel much better

    xxxxxxx

You are doing something already by working on your other stresses. Being calmer and able to relax and eat well will help your metabolism, and then you can move on to exercise when you have more time.

Macgirl that's a fab story :T . I might adapt the method slightly and book myself an 'end-of-MSc-exams / announce finding husband' treat :D

Don't forget your Desiderata, Buffy - you are a child of the universe :D and the 'be gentle with yourself' bit too... (http://www.healtalk.com/dl/desiderata.pdf)

Hope your day's been good today.

Buffy, don't be too hard on yourself. The fact that its is never ending cyle is why so many people have left.

I'm having an end of month arrrrgggghhh based on how much i have to do, how many students I need to visit and not enough time in the day without making myself ill, but yesterday I wrote out each students name and what I need to do and am spending this morning trying to pick off as much as i can so I can feel that I have acheived something.

I have done lots this month buts its been things like not starting back until DS went to school, clearing out DS bedroom and then clean whole house (shut my bedroom door :o) for sleepover, faffed about with other things, we are nearly at the end of Jan and I have no idea where the month has gone.
  • I have no idea where January has gone either.

today was fine right up untill I fell over. Ankle/foot went on wet floor, knee met with concrete. I was on my own when it happened but the corridor soon filled with people. So EMBARRASSING. and my knee hurts. It was such a shock one minute I was fine the next wham and hello concrete.

On the bright side I did get out of a meeting. Mind you I would really rather not look like a total prat in front of everyone.
