Back in November 2008 I paid over £700 to Credit Clear uk on a no win no fee basis to get my 2 loan agreements audited. Credit Clear UK passed the details and loan agreements onto ration money for handling.
After about 6 months I recieved a letter from CC UK to say that one of my loan agreements had been deemed as enforceable and they returned almost half of the money. 2 weeks later I recieved another letter saying that the other loan was un-enforceable and it was being passed to a solicitor. In August 2009 I was told by the Solicitor to stop paying my loan as they had informed the loan company that my account was in dispute. I stoped paying in Sep 2009 but held the payments in a seperate account just in-case.
Over the next 4-5 months I recieved lots of calls from the loan company threatening to report me to the credit refrence agencies etc. but all of the while I was reassured by my solicitor that this could not happen and it would not have an effect on my credit score.
In Jan 2010 I recieved a letter from the loan company saying that if I did not pay £1800 then I would be reported. I contacted the solicitors to ask thier advice and they told me to ignor it. However, 2 days later I got a letter from the solicitor saying that they were not going to progress my case any further and I should continue to pay my loan off. I paid the loan company the £1800 that day and started procedings to get my initial no win no fee payment back.
Now 7 months on I am still trying to get my money back from CC UK. I have sent emails that have gone unanaswered. I have made numerous telephonecalls where I am told to send an email or write a letter. I have written a letter that they deny receiving. And to top it all off I now have a poor credit score because the loan company reported me to the credit ref.agency.
Does anyone have any tips on:
1. Getting my money back from CC UK?
2. Getting the issues removed from my credit score?
All help appreciated.

No, I agree to a certain extent and the lesson has been learned.
However, it is not right that a company can take my money and not give the service that they advertised (nowin no fee).
It is also not right for a solicitor to give inaccurate advice that has resulted in my poor credit score. I would have continued to pay the direct debit if they had not advised me to stop it. As it stands I have still paid the full loan amount back.0 -
