How on earth does anyone ever get on their panel? The main site says to keep an eye on ad banners to click, I've been looking at them all for months now and never pinecone, just lots of diet and plastic surgery ads which are certainly not going to make me any money!
Is anyone on there? How did you break in?

I keep saying this but nobody takes any notice - if the 'owner' of Pinecone catches you posting links for signup on a public forum SHE WILL KICK YOU OFF THE PINECONE PANEL!!!! It is not allowed.ELITE 5:2

Assuming the poster is a member of Pinecone, if they are not then they can hardly be kicked off.
Also assuming the username/details of the poster allows pinecone to identify them as a member of pinecone.0 -
pinecone are always looking for people to sign up but they are normally done through members. Members get the emails about once a month, try the referrals board ?0

That's true, but the reason for them not wanting you to publicise where their banners are is because the banners are supposed to attract a certain type of person.
As an example, they may want more mothers with young babies. So they put a banner on a web site specifically aimed at mothers with young babies. because the people visiting that site, and clicking on the banner, are likely to be mothers with young babies.
If someone then posts a link to that banner in here, they get all sortsof people clicking on it, most not mothers with young babies.
Having said that, I don't think they are as strict these days. As they send people links and ask them to forward the link to anyone they know, not just a certain type of person.
They also used to get upset if you even mentioned them in here. There was even a rule that said you could not mention the name Pinecone in here for any reason. Then it changed to "you can mention them, but only in the Pinecone thread". I don't know if that rull is still in force.0 -
Im not sure about the rule. It's the first I've heard about it tbh.
I got mine through a banner link from here. It took 2 attempts but I got there. I understand what you're saying but they wouldn't accept you if they wasn't interested. I'm surprised they still take on at all as there must be so many people signed up to it.0 -
Karen still sends out her 'Reminder - Confidentiality' email every couple of months and it spells out very clearly just how they view pretty much any discussions of their company. So I guess it is still an issue - they have certainly managed to track down 'offending' members on another site I belong to and, believe me, that turned very unpleasant for all involved.ELITE 5:2
