But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free :money:
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important
This is what I'll do:
- Make lunch for work
- NSD
- Clean my kitchen!!
- HW on for 20 mins only!!
- Dinner from stores but no idea what...
- Work hard :A
- Claim overtime :T
- Joined 100 day challenge! Clear that cc by 10 Dec!! eek.
Happy Monday y'all!

Morning everyone. A week off for me, but still up at 6.15!
Yesterday we had a successful visit to collect DGS from his dad's. We go once a month and costs us about £17 for the round trip, which doesn't sound very DFW. However, as well as getting a lovely roast dinner, we went foraging and came home with a handful of blackberries, 2.5 lbs of elderberries and 21.5 lb of the sweetest mirabelle plums I've ever found, which were growing wild at the edge of the football field.:T
My list for today:- check banking (not good, but not horrendous)
- check for surveys
- write a meal plan for the rest of the month
- meals from stores
- bottle some mirabelles in brandy for Xmas presents
- make mirabelle jam
- DH to make mirabelle wine
- have an NSD
Catch up with you all later

Morning all!
Hope everyone has a good Monday.
We're both off this week and have a few things planned - today we have a spa day with 2 treatments each, then tomorrow we're going to the lakes for 2 nights with the dog.
Feeling a bit fed up today - just weighed and I've not lost anything, in fact I've put on a pound - not at all surprising when you consider what I've scoffed. At least its given me a kick up the bum to do something about it - I am about 10 lbs heavier than I feel is ok for me (not absolutely tons but enough to feel fatter and self conscious - boo!).:o
So enough feeling sorry for myself....- Walk the dog for much needed exercise
- Go to spa thing and try to enjoy it
- I too joined the 100 day challenge last night
- Update diary
- Checked banks - no surprises
- Try not to spend too much
- Start packing for the lakes
- Print out maps
- Read library book
- Going out somewhere for tea so will try not to eat too much and spend the minimum

- Sell a purge today hopefully!
JxNothing to report as yet...give me a minute...!0 -

Continue to sort for carboot, found a huge amount of stuff yesterday, much tucked away. I have been very ruthless. I did used to buy some rubbish that I didn't need!! It was also a bit of an eyeopener just to remind me how easy it is to buy stuff you don't need
Washing on, dry inside
Pop out for some paint stripper to continue with sanding bannister
Work out best place to get euros for weekend away
Tea from stores - another new recipe. Delias casserole a big hit last night
Try and dodge the rain to get the blackberries - they seem to be alluding me this year!!!
Send DH tax disc from old van back for a rebate
Organise car so it can be taken abroad at weekend (it's a company vehicle)
Sort DD child trust fund Grrr- HSB* are being rubbish...
Have a good day everyone x0
