hi there
is your railcard a simple unlimited usage between two certain stations one? if not would this be appropriate for you?
also you're spending £75 on mobiles and a further 16 on home phone.
do you need the home phone if you're spending so much on mobiles?
couldn't one of you get a PAYG phone (O2 has a top up £10 each month and get 300 texts and 10% of top ups back) and the other gets a cheaper contract which has inclusive minutes and texts?0 -
also can you get ntl in your area?
you can get broadband, digital tv and home phone with inclusive calls for only £30 a month0 -
Thanks to everyone!

Hi cupid_stunt (make sure I get this the right way round:rotfl:)
No we can't get NTL here
Yes my railcard is one for unlimited travel between 2 stations ( if paid daily would cost me £58.80)
I think it's time I changed to PAYG - don't use my phone much - mainly textsDMP starts June 2012, £38,180.

As has already been mentioned
Sky sorry but if you want to have more money then it goes. The tip about ringing up and saying you can't afford it does work.
BT even though you are in contract ring the up and get them to drop it to the lowest speed you can have.
Get rid of both Mobiles and go PAYG if your husband uses his for work then that comes out of the business and not your money.
Reckon you can shave up to £100 a month off of you food budget. I feed two adults for a £100 a month. But it will take time shave it off.
Also are you due any tax credits as have you a child might not be a lot but better than nothing.
If you can shave off a £100 off the food and get rid of the mobile contracts that would be extra £175 a month better off that is before dealing with sky and internet. So suspect you could be close to saving up to £200 a month.
All the best.

That's brilliant, that kind of saving would really help us. Don't want to hijack this thread so will go find more things to turn off!!I have plenty of willpower - it's won't power I need.

The Sky thing is definitely true - I've just done it too, half price for three months, then I'm going to phone them and reduce the package0
