  • Gas and electricity seem high per month. Also do you really need Sky? You could get a Freeview Digibox for less than one months subscription.

First I would advice your DH to try and get a 0% CC or a life of balance card

It's tight but there are savings to be made. Also, you could look at selling on ebay/Amazon, buying through Quidco etc to boost your income.
    Leason learnt
  • Gas and electric are a bit high and I have just changed supplier.

Sky is my hubby's only luxury, avid Man Utd fan so watches footie - he is self employed and can work 60 hours a week easily so I can't begrudge him this. Have just negotiated with Sky and has come down from £83.

ONe thing I noticed there is that you seem to be paying the most off of the card with the least interest? Is this because its A higher total ?

Any chance of supplementing your income, selling some stuff on ebay? Amazon etc? ONly that 350 card, could probably be cleared with a bit of extras be it babysitting, flogging stuff, or taking in ironing etc ??? EDIT, seen you are doing the ebay challenge- you know its 5p day today??
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast

Is £79.50 for gas and electricity really astronomical? I think I'd better go an turn things off - mines £93!
    I have plenty of willpower - it's won't power I need.
  • A wee dodgy tip

Call sky tell them you are leaving as you cant afford it they give you it half price for 3 months (only if hubby really cant give it up Mines wouldnt! )
Then call abck after the initial 3 mons say the same thing they will keep you on Half price for at least 6 months rather than lose a customer.

My friend works @ Sky told me this! I did this and it worked.

Change from BT for Broadband talktalk has it free if its in your area or for a tenner.
Plus Sky are doing free broadband.

Oh mobile contract why do high have you shopped about o2 and Vodafone and tmobile now have some fab tarriffs send me how many mins he uses a text I'll see if you save some there.

How long left on the first plus loan???
Isn't the knowledge that comes from experience more valuable than the knowledge that doesn't?
