maybe i'm getting somewhere...

hiya,
just wanted to post cos I'm really proud of myself. This past two weeks I have:
- Paid off £250 of my RBS overdraft (£700 to go )
- saved £200 towards deposit on cheaper house so we can move and put extra money towards debts.
- Got myself a voluntary placement tutoring a writing workshop for Mental Health Day- hoping it could even lead to some extra paid work if I play it right- (any networking tips appreciated!)
-sent two short stories off to competitions.
- Got OH's credit report and sorted out repayment plans for all his long outstanding debts.
-finally persuaded OH to switch to cheaper dried TVP instead of quorn (see below!)
and er...
- saved on my leccy bill by breaking the fridge and living without for three weeks! (Trying to put a positive spin on things...)

anyway, just wanted to share with people who might be interested!

i love the positive spin gotta get me some of that..it does feel great making roads into your debt dont it ...what is tvp ? i use quorn i may try it
  • TVP= Textured Vegetable Protein. Its kind of like quorn but its dry- like the old-style soya mince if you remember that. I get mine from local shop that sells dried food like lentils and stuff, but I imagine most health food shops probably sell it. Its cheaper and it lasts longer.
