I can't remember..

Where I saw it but a while ago I read a thread that had a list of lenders and which credit reference agency they used to work out if they would give you credit.

I have been checking my creditexpert (Experian) credit report and its slowly getting better, I have four defaults left all settled accounts and the last one will drop off in Oct 2012 so not that long really.

I would like the option of getting a mortgage in the next 5 years or so,
I don't actually want credit for buying things but for getting my credit report as good as possible.

My Equifax credit record is different to my Experian one, I cant go in and check it right now as cancelled the Equifax subscription after the free trial ended but I have a feeling that my Equifax one is not as good, (I have got a print out of it just need to hunt it out but was last checked a couple of months ago) Has anyone else got experience of Equifax? It wasnt very easy to understand I found! And I know that some of the dates on my Equifax one differed from the Experian one! So I think I would just feel more comfortable if I knew in a couple of years time if I wanted to apply for credit which ones only use Experian.

Does anyone know where that thread went please?

Thanks!

PS I have a current account with Coop which I have kept in the green since I've had it (2006) and an O2 mobile contract which has been kept in the green for the last few years so they count as good things dont they?

I just cant wait for the red default ones to drop off my Experian report!
