Maggie's dresses

So I love her designs and I'm going to Pronuptia in London to try some dresses on wednesday :j:j

Does anyone know if they come up smaller than a normal dress size? I've seen one I might bid on ebay but it's my normal dress size....

It's a lace-up back so should give a bit but it's my waist that's fat so would rather fit the waist and then pad out the bust if necessary..

i think as a rule of thumb, wedding dresses come up a size(or even 2) smaller.
but you should try some maggies one to see if its true for her designs

The label on mine says size 8. I'm a size 10 and my wedding dress had to be taken in quite a bit as I'd lost weight since ordering it.

But, Maggie is American so the label size might be a US size 8 which I think is a UK size 12...

I'm a size 10-12 and my dress is a size 12... think it's a US 12 though as they wrote 14 on the order form...

I think it's best to work off measurements rather than sizes!

Yes, but those selling their wedding dresses on ebay don't seem to think of that!!

I might go for a dress size up then. Not many size 14s for sale at the moment.

Thanks lovely ladies, that's saved my purse for tonight. :rotfl:

I bought a Maggie in the size I normally wear but it has had to be taken in quite a lot so i was thinking American sizes too

I've ordered a Maggie size 14, but usally buy a 14/16 in UK shops. So I assume that they are US sizing as wedding dresses usually come up small.
