Weekly Spend Challenge W/C 18th July 2010

Options
Hello everyone a010.gif. Welcome to the weekly spend challenge. This challenge is open to anybody, no matter what financial place they are in.

On this thread please post an amount of money you wish to stay below within the week (Sunday to end of working day on Friday). This can be pennies or thousands it depends on the individual. Then next Saturday report back and pledge for the following week. Feel free to update this thread with daily spends if that keeps you on track. We colour code the results as below:

Green - within budget
Red - overbudget
Purple - zero spend
Yellow - made money over the week

This is a little bit of fun but for many it highlights the fact that maybe that magazine/chocolate bar isn't needed. Hopefully your spending habits can be changed forever. clapping.gif

Moozie was the founder of this challenge and here is a quote taken from her around last year

The challenge is about incidental spending and not for stuff that should be budgeted elsewhere such as bills, groceries, debt repayment etc but you decide what to include at the end - this is about changing your habits and improving your recording of your spends more than anything else. Have a great week everyone and keep it low!!! Moozie x

Good luck everyone.action-smiley-033.gif

Sorry I am a bit late starting the thread this week. I was red for last week. I seem to be lacking in motivation for both moneysaving and weightloss at the moment so I need to get myself in gear. It is my birthday this week so it is not going to be easy so I am taking it slowly this week and will start with avengence next week. So I am going for £50 to cover things.

Hope you are all having a good week sadly it is raining here.

I know what you mean about lacking motivation! I go through spurts of being really excited and eager about everything and then gradually drop off. In case you can't tell I'm in a excited stage at the moment!

I just want to get back to that stage. If only you could buy bottles of motivation!

  • If only you could buy bottles of motivation!

Yes, that would be useful, but then you'd have to budget to buy the bottles and that would kind of defeat the object!

I spent £10 on sports bras in Tesco yesterday, and started my Davina post natal workout :) So budgeting and weightloss going good at the moment!
