The incredible shrinking turkey roast

Has anyone noticed that Bernard Matthews turkey roast has shrunk from 567g to 450g, bit of a sneaky move there I thought - no change in price though!

Feed more expensive , fuel prices increased , VAt increase (not on food but on the distribution and delivery chain) and the supermarkets greed for a bigger profit margin and the only way to do is to reduce the weight, sadly been happening for years with the greedy supermarkets driving it.

This is happening over and over again - decreased weight so that we idiots don't notice that the actual price is increasing! Just this morning noticed the fruit cake in Waitrose is a very much smaller slab than it was previously.

I'd have a bit more respect for the companies that just highlighted the changes in weight, for example " new handy 450g pack" would be a start.

I'm sure that if they had increased the weight by 20% they would have an eye catching "special offer, 20% extra free" printed on the pack.
