Hi all, don't post as much as I should on here, considering how much advice and tips I take from here. Currently on a week off from work and I've done a job I should of done ages ago... set up a new current account.

I went through all the posts and views on here, and opted to go with Natwest, was going to go with the step account which has been recommended on here, but as I found out today, even if you have a bad credit report you might still be able to get a normal current account. I was advised to go for the normal current account as the step account holds the risk of not being able to go for a morgage or possible credit cards in the future. Despite paying off 2 credit cards at the moment, I may well need another one in a few years.

Anyway, things are on the up and debts are being paid. Two debts (only small, but matter) are being paid this month, so should be another £250 up a month as of next month, so all good.

:)

July 2011 £0.00 :)

There are many many who just pick up the tips and comments rather than post. But still its nice when people like yourself do join in now and then.

Good news on clearing the debts.

Good luck Nero - we all have our tales to tell and some of us choose not to actually dive in but only dip our toes. I too am one of those - never told the full story, haven't plucked up the courage, but the advice on here is overwhelming. You will get there and much sooner than me. Billie x

    Well done getting yourself sorted!!

I've gained so much good advice and encouragement since joining this board, but I think its also the feeling of not being the first and certainly not the last to make big mistakes that keeps spurring you on. No-one ever judges anyone and it's easier to talk on here than revealing all to family members if you don't want the big heavy confessionals.
