I would like to study post bankruptcy but university fees are high. I will be working so could in theory pay, but will the O/R object to study fees?
Thanks

You'll need to get this confirmed by an Expert.
But I think you'll have to pay any uni costs from your surplus income.
In other words you won't be allowed to put it on your Income and Expenditure.
I hope I'm wrong.0 -
Having them approved as part of the IPA could be difficult (not seen anyone attempt it to be fair), but if I were you I'd put the case forward strongly. Are you planning on undergrad or postgrad studies? If postgrad, can always argue that you'll be done in two years (part time) and will then have better job and pay more into IPA. Really pushing it there but...
If you'll be working full time though and think you'll have sufficient, can always pay from surplus.
Other thing to do is drop to part time work and avoid IPA and tuition fees (or get bursary/other financial help) potentially.BR 22/10/2009 ED 08/07/20100 -
The OR will allow costs for a university/open uni course and you can apply for grants etc. which won't be touched. Though you won't get a student bank account.BSCno.87The only stupid question is an unasked oneLoving life as a Kernow Hippy0

Am thinking of a PhD which is a long, long process, but I thought could be a positive step forwards.0

Uni fees can be paid by the student loan company, which you aren't credit rated on. You have to start repaying it after you earn £15,000.
I'm off to uni this year, 2.5yrs after bankruptcy, and had no problems with student finance at all.
I'm not sure if it's the same before you are discharged?9/70lbs to lose0 -
