Hello everyone a010.gif. Welcome to the weekly spend challenge. This challenge is open to anybody, no matter what financial place they are in.

On this thread please post an amount of money you wish to stay below within the week (Sunday to end of working day on Friday). This can be pennies or thousands it depends on the individual. Then next Saturday report back and pledge for the following week. Feel free to update this thread with daily spends if that keeps you on track. We colour code the results as below:

Green - within budget
Red - overbudget
Purple - zero spend
Yellow - made money over the week

This is a little bit of fun but for many it highlights the fact that maybe that magazine/chocolate bar isn't needed. Hopefully your spending habits can be changed forever. clapping.gif

Moozie was the founder of this challenge and here is a quote taken from her around last year

The challenge is about incidental spending and not for stuff that should be budgeted elsewhere such as bills, groceries, debt repayment etc but you decide what to include at the end - this is about changing your habits and improving your recording of your spends more than anything else. Have a great week everyone and keep it low!!! Moozie x

Good luck everyone.action-smiley-033.gif

    Afternoon All

Had a NSD yesterday after a BBQ at my parent's which was free and some food to take home too! Spent £3 today sponsorship for a friend at work, so should be able to stick to my budget fine this week.
    Have a lovely week all

Booo I'm doing so badly this week so far - and pay day isn't until tomorrow !!!!

    So far I've spent: -
    • £1.49 Thornton's chocs
    • £9.05 at Morrison's on beer for OH and a few bits and bobs
    • £0.55 today on a scone at canteen
AND still have £17 to pay out tomorrow on milk fund; lottery; christmas night out saving :( Definitely going to be a RED week. So annoyed at myself - this is what happens just before pay day every time - really good for 3 weeks then the last week it all goes to pot :(

I'm in trouble already this week -

£4.80 on sunday papers and some fruit (bf's papers)
£4.25 lunch yesterday (met friend for lunch which I had forgotten about)

That leaves me 80p for rest of week....... I could do it but I doubt it. Oh well onwards and upwards.
