Do you know what the answer was for June?
I have to say, I wouldn't even know where to start with this one!0 -
They haven't put June's solution up yet.
This one looks really tricky to me, but then they seem to have been the last couple of months

They have changed the way that you log on to the site. In the past, you used to just put your email address. Now you need to set up a password. Still itching to find out what the answer to last times was, to see if we were on the right tracks.0

I was famously rubbish at this a while back
Good luck all, but I honestly feel you have to get 'into the head' of the person giving the clues. There are so many options for each clue given. 0 -
Could the first clue be George Henry Borrow the 19th century author who wrote books about his travels?0

Oh my god, for the first time in ages I think I've got it :j I didn't want to spoil it in case others are working it out, so I've posted my workings and answer below in white - just highlight to see it (you'll need to hover over to see where the links are).
Thanks thingamabob for continuing to post these
I started with George Henry Borrow too. His home in later life was at a place called Oulton Broad. Using the numbers I tried googling this with the years 1904 - 1919 and found that a man called Mark Thurgur has written a history called Oulton Broad 1904 to 1919(souce)
When you is madeee and g is ov
I changed the letters in Thurgur to The Rover
A Piece to restore you is what you should see
There is a popular restoration comedy by Aphra Behn called The Rover
A lady you seek of mysterious past
But Why is the next step. The race that was last?
according to Aphra Behn's Wikipedia Article "Information regarding her, especially her early life, is scant, but she was almost certainly born in Wye, near Canterbury"
From the Wye article, the last race on Wye Racecourse took place on 2nd May 1974
Historian's Birthday we celebrate then,
And under the ground there you come to an end
Historian William Camden was born on 2nd May
Answer: Camden Catacombs

I too spent hours working it out and came to the same conclusion yesterday. I wasn't going to post that I had worked it out, not because I didn't want to share, but because I think that half the fun of this one is the working it out. Perhaps they have realised that they have made other recent ones too difficult. Mind you, I would never have got it, if it had not been for Google and Wikipedia.0
