Went into WH smiths today armed with the barcodes to identify the figures and this voucher http://marketing.whsmith.co.uk/images/51/WHSmith_Welcome_Voucher_june10.pdf

Got 7 mini figures -£5 with the voucher. Well pleased as they are to go in party bags for my sons birthday! also kept the voucher so can use it again! very nice helpful man in shop.

You need the barcode decoder to find out. Get it here http://bricks.inof.de/docs/minifig-barcodes/

Hi Tharweb. What does that do? Why do you need a barcode decoder? Sorry if I sound daft....my son is mad on Lego but I haven't heard anything about this!

They come in little foil packets with one random mini figure in each packet. rrp £1.99 each. The idea being that you collect and swap them. however you can cheat by using the barcodes (left hand barcode on the packet) to identify which ones they are if you were after a specific one.

Been to W H Smiths today and got my 7 figures. Thanks so much Shelleyblake, I wouldn't have spotted this offer otherwise.

I can use the "ShopSavvy" app (or equivalent) on my Android mobile phone to scan the 2nd barcode - it does a quick lookup, and lets me know which figure it is.

Saves making a mistake from trying to visually compare barcodes.
