Hello everyone a010.gif. Welcome to the weekly spend challenge. This challenge is open to anybody, no matter what financial place they are in.

On this thread please post an amount of money you wish to stay below within the week (Sunday to end of working day on Friday). This can be pennies or thousands it depends on the individual. Then next Saturday report back and pledge for the following week. Feel free to update this thread with daily spends if that keeps you on track. We colour code the results as below:

Green - within budget
Red - overbudget
Purple - zero spend
Yellow - made money over the week

This is a little bit of fun but for many it highlights the fact that maybe that magazine/chocolate bar isn't needed. Hopefully your spending habits can be changed forever. clapping.gif

Moozie was the founder of this challenge and here is a quote taken from her around last year

The challenge is about incidental spending and not for stuff that should be budgeted elsewhere such as bills, groceries, debt repayment etc but you decide what to include at the end - this is about changing your habits and improving your recording of your spends more than anything else. Have a great week everyone and keep it low!!! Moozie x

Good luck everyone.action-smiley-033.gif

    Afternoon budgeteers

I am just quickly popping in to set up the thread this week although I am not participating. I do sort of have a budget as I have a set amount of spending money for hols but counting the pennies on holiday is not much fun.

I hope you are all having a good week. Congrats to EC12345 for the purple and to nowpanicking for completing the first week.

Welcome to Frugalchic I have added you to the list let us know how you get on.

I will pop back over the week when I get the chance to update the thread but forgive me if it is not very often. Normal service to be resumed next week:D

    Hello
Been a long time since I did one of these - but it's time I got back to it.

I don't *think* I'll need to spend anything at all this week, as I've got credit on my lunch card and the cupboards are quite well stocked. So I'll just go with £10, incase I've forgotten about anything.

    Good luck everyone.

£2.65 spent today, also will be spending tomorrow as its magazine day but will try not to buy too many. magazines and coffee's out are my downfall for personal spends so this is where i have to try and really limit myself :o

Hi pointypenguin wondering if i could join back in again with the weekly challenge. Its been a long while since i did this, and i've finally got the guts to try it again.

I have exactly £9.37 in my purse for general spending. Going to only try and use this for food shopping too. Be a miracle if it works, in the past when i was more careful it did now well its gone to pot.

Today i have spent zilch, nada nothing, so going good so far .

    Best of luck all x
