do tesco self-scan tills take other stores'coupons ?

They definitely take the ones out of the Asda magazine, so it's highly likely they take Sainsburys and Somerfield ones although I've never tried them myself.

Yes the self scan, like the normal tills will accept Sainsbury's and Somerfield. However, watch out, because some stores, like one of my local ones, has put a block on using more than one at once or any of a value of £5 or more and the checkout automatically calls for a supervisor - very embarrassing!

Might be best trying a checkout with a kid on it. Others have said Sun morning is good as all the students have hangovers -I couldn't possibly comment -LOL! Of course, bank hol mon should be good for kids on checkouts...;)

What I love is when they loudly shout that you're not allowed to use other manufactors coupons on another product. Once I made the mistake of going when an older lady was on,but the other was a young girl :rolleyes:

Anyway just make sure you have a plan for when this happens. I just walk away saying "thankyou for pointing this out, could you put my shopping back on the shelf for me , thankyou again"
