Payday here too & the first one since i've been a DFW

Today, I would normally be off to the shops to buy some treat foods for the weekend, along with beer & wine, biccies, choccies, crisps etc, would easily spend £30 & then maybe another £20 on a takeaway too.

But I am a changed woman! lol, I will be going to the bank to get the kids pocket money out, they get £10 a month & I am taking out £20 which i've transferred into the bank from ebay sales, that is being moved into the savings.

Have just taken some sausages out of the freezer & will make a toad in the hole for tea instead of takeaway & am going to bake banana bread with some manky nanas I have instead of buying a tesco finest strawberry cheesecake.

    Well done Carriel
for our first wedding anniversary next week we are sitting in. Two sirloin steaks with a mushroom/creme frieche sause and a bottle of that very good Chilean red wine from LIDL. Comes in at just under a tenner - instead of £100 in some overrated restraunt sitting beside a bunch of chattering monkeys getting fleeced for average food.

We are off to Creamfields this weekend, my mate is managing a stall there and we are getting in for FREE ( always best price) My mates giving us a lift so well chip in for a bit of petrol money ( much less than the 100 or so quid it would have cost us on the train)

We'll be taking some of our own beers, and I am taking a couple of old jumpers from my ebay box as last time I went there was dollies in little dresses the weather was pants and people were offering me £20 for my carp fleece which I would have frozen to death if Id have sold it.. Fingers crossed for some bad weather in Widnes :rotfl:
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast

  • i dont get paid for another week :(
it's always the last Thursday of the month which sometimes means we have to wait 5 weeks for pay and throws all money saving and bills out of sync during those months. so i'm having to borrow money this month to pay the bills and rent.
so it's going to be a quiet bank holiday oh well

Pay day not till next week :( And they have decided that pay rises, pay scale fiddles (we're being unified to a single scale), and increments are going to be applied at least one month late :( I've got to recalculate all my dates again :(
    FWLBM - 1st Sept 06 - Debts: around £80k (not entirely sure...:o )
