And we're 'living in the age of Al Qaeda' precisely because our government decided to participate in an American imperialist war in the Middle East, killing one million Muslims, which incidentally our population overwhelming opposed. I think you'll find these problems are caused by the idiocy and insensitivity of our government in the first place, not because Al Qaeda intrinsically hates British society.
Similarly with the IRA - did we expect that Catholic population of Northern Ireland just to take the military occupation and the government's outrageous human rights violations on the chin?
So, Alan I'm not grateful for the government trying to 'solve' problems that it created in the first place by turning the UK into an authoritarian, illiberal state.0 -
NoWe had never had one terrorist attack from any islamic extemists until 2005, this was because we went and backed the americans after 9/11 attacks in new york.
We has a country have been suckered into this war, and all we have done is create problems for are own people.
The people i feel sorry for are the soldiers, who are laying their lives on the line for a war we should not be involved in.0
