Only a little payment today of £22 but every little helps
Now down to £1212. The refund from the airline will hopefully arrive before my next bill date which will take me back under £1200 yeeeeeeeeeeeeah! _party_
I'm trying to keep aside another chunk of money to try and pay towards the debt to get it under £1100 before the start of July but I'll see how I get on. I still have to buy my dad a birthday present so I'm being as careful as I can be to stick to my budget. Anyone got any good birthday ideas?! I'm useless!Sealed Pot Challenge #9550 -
I haven't done a big shop this week so I'm being a bit naughty about my lunch this week but I have been sticking rigidly to a maximum spend of £2 a day. It's just for this week until we get to the shops, it's been all a bit chaotic and this weekend we have a wedding to think about as well. Thankfully I have a lovely dress from another wedding last year I am going to recycle
It will be nice to dress up for the day, I just hope the weather stays as nice as it is!
Nothing for sale on eBay at the moment but I just received £14 in a paypal transfer. I've taken out the cash I want to spend between now and the next payday so I can leave my cards in the house. I really, really don't want to push my debt payoff date beyond 1st September and I'm reminding myself constantly that every pound I don't spend now is a pound that takes me closer to being debt free sooner so I can start saving for the things I really want.
I'm still annoyed about the airline thing but I just don't know what else I can do about it. I perhaps need to try and find other ash affected customers and see if they have had any success. Still, onwards and upwards and the sun is shining yay! :cool2:Sealed Pot Challenge #9550 -

Thanks! I'm so chuffed to be under £1200. I'm scraping away to try and save £52 so that I can be under £1100 before the end of the month.
I managed 2 NSDs at the weekend and ran Race for Life yesterday. Feeling a bit creaky this morning but so pleased I managed it under my target time of 30 minutes.
Happy Monday everyone!Sealed Pot Challenge #9550 -
Bit the bullet and made the £52 payment so at least temporarily my debt is £1099. I'll get charged interest on my next CC bill but for now I'm happy. Went to the dentist today and have to have 2 fillings so not looking forward to that bill!Sealed Pot Challenge #9550

Well done on running the race for life - I'm hoping to do something like that next year. Not a natural runner though so we'll see.
Another well done on bringing the debt down a bit more - £52 is quite a big chunk of money.
Don't envy you with the dentist I went last week for a filling - it wasn't too bad in the end because it was only a small one he could use a gadget that was like a little sand blaster so it makes the hole bigger then he could put the filling stuff in so no pain:D and it set before I left the surgery so it I could have lunch. Hope it doesn't cost too muchOfficial DFW Nerd Number 526:T

Oh I'm not a natural runner either - think Phoebe from Friends -:rotfl: but I lost a 20 year old friend to cancer 2 years ago and I feel 5km running is the very least I can do in her memory. You can walk it as well and it's really such a great experience. I did find myself getting very upset reading the backs of people's shirts for who they were running for. Very sad.
The £52 came from an unexpected £25 dividend payment I received yesterday, £16 from eBay sales and £11 I decided to take out of my budget just so I could see the £1099 figure on my account for a while - is that really tragic?!
I love the sound of your sandblastery dentist experience, that sounds fab. One of mine definitely will involve the dreaded drill though  Still, I have 4 weeks to psyche myself up / save for the bills! :rotfl:Sealed Pot Challenge #9550 -
I wish I could run as well as Phoebe!:rotfl::rotfl:
Unexpected money is the best - hopefully you'll get some more
It was the best filling I've ever had! No pain, no face swelled up so you look like the elephant man fantastic! I was dreading it before I went I hate fillings (usually)Official DFW Nerd Number 526:T
