Despite sleeping in this morning I still managed to make my lunch and bring it in with me. :j
Today is a tough day because I am travelling with a colleague so there will be lots of service station stops and temptation along the way. It's hard not to appear as a cheap skate but I don't get paid until Friday so I'm really down to the very dusty end of my budget. Still I do have money left (which is an improvement) and I'm looking forward to taking another chunk off debt when I do get paid. Hopefully will not blow the budget today! *crosses fingers*Sealed Pot Challenge #9550 -
Well done on bringing in your lunch! I find that is where I have been falling down a lot on my spending. I get too rushed in the morning to grab anything and I've never been organised enough to prepare it the night before! Slowly starting to get better at bringing things in though
Be careful with your spending today and up until Friday! It is easy to think how well you are doing because you have money left at the end of the month and then go and spend it last minute!! (speaking from experience here!! :rotfl:)2019 will be my year!!0 -
Thanks Kayleigh! Another day, another lunch brought in
I got home from the day's travel late in the night so I'm feeling a bit bleary eyed this morning! I managed not to spend any money so put the £1.50 in my purse into the sealed pot.
I've now hidden my purse in the house to stop me spending unnecessarily and today I'm making a payment to my debt! :j New signature figure ahoy!
Today's jobs:
- make packed lunch cheese sarnies yum yum!
- check banking £7 till payday!
- make payment towards debt
- list more items on eBay 14 items added!
- rummage through the books for more to list on Amazon nothing this time
- do May's budget and work out my NSD target 15 NSDs if I can
- plan trip to London and budget for the weekend I've saved up some £s just need to stick to my budgetSealed Pot Challenge #9550 -
Your doing really well I know that I always found it really difficult to get my lunch ready for work I shudder when I think of how much money I've wasted on food for dinners. Keep up the good work!! xOfficial DFW Nerd Number 526:T

Thanks! Good to know a fellow redhead on here too.
I've really had to force myself to make my lunch and there are days I HATE it (as you will see from my whinging!) but it saves me around £60-£65 a month. It's worth giving it a go but it is a pain if you sleep in!Sealed Pot Challenge #9550 -
do you think we can blame our money issues on being red heads?
When I go back to work in November I'm going to HAVE to take my lunches or I won't be able to afford everything I want to do in the next couple of yearsOfficial DFW Nerd Number 526:T

I'd like to blame it on something :rotfl: The trick is to have everything in so that you are going to waste food if you don't eat it so it's a double whammy.Sealed Pot Challenge #9550

Funny that....! :rotfl:
I've just finished listing 14 things on eBay including some wedding favour bags. Our conversation in your diary reminded me that I still have 20 kicking around the houseFingers crossed I get some money from the listed items.
I've managed to get through today's list in time for an early night - yay! :cool:Sealed Pot Challenge #9550 -
Big disappointment this morning. When I woke up I was certain it was Friday :rotfl:Ah well! Today's challenge is resisting the spending urge when I know that my pay has now gone into my account. The good news is that 7 of my eBay listings have watchers and 1 bid already - yay!
Today's jobs:
- make packed lunch
- check eBay listings
- research new mortgage deal (possibility to save £100 a month)
- call finance company about savings held with them
- find more items to list on eBay
- try and find free day trips to do over the bank holiday
Hope you all have a good day.Sealed Pot Challenge #9550
