HELP! Sister's Wedding!

Hi guys,
It's my sister's Big Day on 5th June 2010, and she has asked me to decorate the reception venue to save money! However, I cannot spend more than £100 on this (we have already balloons sorted, they are silver foil heart shaped).
I have seen lots of ideas online, I'd really like to find some white paper latterns on a string (electric not battery) for outside use and something to put in a double door way, something like beads or hanging paper hearts but I haven't found anything suitable as it would be great to have a curve in it for people to walk through without irritation, so i just wondered if anyone had come across any websites or shops located in the Essex area that you would recommend?
All ideas welcome and muchly appreciated!! :j
Thank you in advance,
Mischa

Hi Mischa - I'm not sure about the lanterns, I'm afraid, but do you have the time to make something yourself for the other decorations or are you just wanting to buy something ready made?
Also - what colours are you looking for in addition to silver?0 -
Hi can you give us more details of wedding eg theme if there is one, is it an outside reception etc. Any details will help us come up with some ideas. For the paper lanterns could you use these http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/12-White-Sky-Wedding-Flying-Lantern-Chinese-Fay-Paper_W0QQitemZ190384348032QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Home_Garden_Celebrations_Occasions_ET?hash=item2c53ca9b80 for the end of the evening as the couple leave the reception.

If you can stretch it, get some sky lanterns which are great! Make sure you get the wire free ones though as i've seen a few reports about the metal ones causing problems with cattle etc - we set a few off last weekend - cost about 12 quid for 5 from eco-sky-lanterns.co.uk0

Hello there, if you want low costs and lanterns then this could help. I love the outcome of the Do-it-youself lanterns. http://www.oncewed.com/12961/diy-wedding/decor/diy-lighted-paper-pennant-garland/0
