Hello everyone
. Welcome to the weekly spend challenge. This challenge is open to anybody, no matter what financial place they are in.
On this thread please post an amount of money you wish to stay below within the week (Sunday to end of working day on Friday). This can be pennies or thousands it depends on the individual. Then next Saturday report back and pledge for the following week. Feel free to update this thread with daily spends if that keeps you on track.
This is a little bit of fun but for many it highlights the fact that maybe that magazine/chocolate bar isn't needed. Hopefully your spending habits can be changed forever.
Moozie was the founder of this challenge and here is a quote taken from her around last year

Morning all,
I am back to work tomorrow (booo) to try and recover the rest of my holiday days so I can take them in a few weeks. The volanic ash doesn't seem to be going any where soon:(
So I am going for £40 this weekWeekly Spend Challenge: £0/£30

£10 for me this week please, no social plans and what will be a very long week at work I'm sure once the ash has decided to disappear. So hopefully I can stick to it this week, make it a third green week in a row!Became Mrs Scotland 16.01.16

I do, so for a couple of days it was cool to have extra time off work but now we are starting to worry about the long-term impact and whether it's going to clear any time soon.Became Mrs Scotland 16.01.16

I can't imagine it is going to be fun once things start going again with all the irrate passengers. There are really worriies for the smaller airlines as be grounded is costing them a fortune especially as they have to pay accomodation and food costs for the people stranded. Looks like there might be another government bailout on the way:(Weekly Spend Challenge: £0/£30

I would imagine those airlines that just survived the oil crisis and recession are probably not going to last through this, but fingers crossed it clears up soon. Might start running out of food in the supermarkets! I actually think it's quite scary that this is just an ash cloud.... imagine if it was something much worse? Doesn't bear thinking about how easily everything falls apart!Became Mrs Scotland 16.01.16
