Well, I am very annoyed with myself this morning. It seems I have reverted entirely to my old ways. Bad, Laura, bad

I have checked my bank account this morning and taking into account all my planned expenses (CC, travel etc) I will be £100 overdrawn at the end of the month assuming I don't spend any more money at all for the next three weeks. Which is unlikely as I am going away for a weekend in Edinburgh on the bank holiday weeked.

I also nearly forgot to pay my credit card bill. It is due today. I have paid online so hopefully it will show as being received today as it is HSBC-HSBC and it is usually same day.

I also have got £16 of charges on my Barclays account. I'm not sure how seeing as it appears I was never over my overdraft limit so I am going to take a print out of my statements into my bank today and ask them how that works. I was over my overdraft one day in April - but money went into my account the same day and covered that so dunno :o

Anyways, these are all pretty much signs that things are slipping.

Now I need to deceide the best way to get through this month so I can make progress next month.

I am thinking I have £200 in my holiday savings account. I could withdraw that, keep £100 for spending money in Edinburgh and use the other £100 for the next three weeks..

But then, I will owe £300 to my holiday savings (I still owe myself £100 from when I borrowed from that account at some point) Which, looking at my spreadsheet, if I manage to do this I can just transfer that £300 back in next month no problems.

Aaargh, what to do what to do? I can't go back to this money juggling that I used to do before... What a pain.

    Things to do today:
    1. Cancel Experian membership Done
    2. Pay cheque into bank Done
    3. Return shoes to Next Done
    4. Go to Barclays, get print outs of statements and ask about this charge. Done
    5. Set up DD for HSBC card min payment.

Right- I did most things on the list except setting up the DD as I had to wait for HSBC to send me a form, which has arrived so I will do that tonight.

I also went and spoke to Barclays, for all the good it did. Even though I had a printout of my statements showing I never actually went over my overdraft limit, the lady kept saying 'well it must be right, because it's never wrong' so basically I was charged for being poentially over my overdraft, had I not paid money in. Like that's fair  So considering a change of bank...

Santander have accepted by appication for a 0% CC for 15months which is good. The only problem is that instead of transferring all of my HSBC balance and some of the balance of my Virgin card, the transferred a bit off of each. Idiots. It's not the end of the world as when the 0% deal ran out on my Virgin card I was gonna transfer it to my HSBC card for a few months (slightly lower APR than virgin) and then apply for another 0% card in about 6months time so the general effect is the same but it's still bloody silly! I could seriously fall out with banks at the minute

I have decided to transfer the £200 from my holiday savings into my account this month and have some spending money for Edinburgh and general spending money for the next couple of weeks. It's not ideal, but I am able to replace the full £300 next month, and it's a good job as it looks like we will be booking for Bruges soon  which, coincidently, is £309 :p

27th-29th May. It's our anniversary break again. We came up last year and enjoyed it so much we are coming again. This year we are doing a tour of Loch Lomond and Stirling castle as we did Edinburgh Castle last year. I'm really looking forward to it :D:D
Also, because I booked about a month ago, I got a really good deal on the train and we are travelling up first class for about £7 more, each :)

Went for my blood test results today, and thankfully it came back as a negative for anything like Coeliacs disease or Inflammatory bowel disease. Now i need to figure out what is upsetting me. And after a bread/pasta overload the last two weeks I am happy to cut that down now. So bloated!

Right- I've been bad. I've been using my credit card. I have been moving stuff around trying to get everything on 0% cards and then using my HSBC which I had cleared. Naughty naughty naughty. Bad laura. I'm going to cut up my HSBC card right now. I'm going to do it....
right-it's done. I no longer have a credit card! I have credit card debt but no credit card... :p
