Help, I've ruined the bath!

Hi I am hoping someone can help me. I sprayed the bath with bleach spray and left it for bit before I cleaned it off. The bleach has damaged the plughole and made it rusty looking and lumpy. I have tried scrubbing it off and cream cleaner but it still looks awful. Can it be fixed? It is a modern plastic bath with silver metal plughole if that makes a difference. Thanks.

Oh dear. I'm afraid I can't offer a solution but didn't want to not reply. Does this affect the function of the bath ie does it make the bath leak? If not, you might just have to live with it.
The only other thing I can suggest is that you contact the manufacturer of the bath and ask them if they have any ideas (short of them trying to sell you another bath, of course).
Good luck - maybe someone else who knows what to do will read and reply.Aspire not to have more but to be more.

Snuggle, might it have been plated rather than stainless steel? Am totally guessing, but it sounds like you might have stripped the coating off? If so, only thing to do is buy a new one I think . I hope I am wrong though!A little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men
