Please promise us you wont be indulging in any BBQ HPI bragging in years to come, pleaseeeeeeee.
I remember to sell for a knock down price to a needy FTB in turn - you wouldn't want to be one of those gready baby boomer types afterall. Do your bit all boy.
Will do... :j
Personally, to talk about how much your house has "made" you is pretty twattish tbh.
Sort of thing Hamish would do at a dinner party I imagine.0 -
mbga - I'd love it if you could do this for me - if you do it let me have a link.
Will you post this on HPC for me please, addressed to ONLYME - if he's still there;
Dear Onlyme, my name is Dogbox - you may remember me as I made several thousand posts.
You banned me, and sent me a turse narky message at the time.
I never got to thank you of course as I was unable to access the site thereafter.
You banned me because I said a typcial HPC bear was the type to want to carefuly analyise the curry house bill on a night out with mates, to make sure they only paid for 'thier' food, rather than just split the bill and down a larger.
+ Looking back - do you think that was the right decision, mature and thick skinned?
+ Why so offended by this out of interest?

Do you still think it's 'awesome' that 'unions are starting to kick off big style'. Are you still having an 'awesome' time 'watching investors flee the UK'?
Good luck with your purchase. You certainly have an odd perspective.

I think its Awesome that after a hung parliament, Labour will be unelectable for the next 50 years.
The fleeing investors and unionist strikes are the process by which that will be achieved. It will be Browns fault.0 -

To bang on endlessly about how no-one should buy as the house market is stitched up and that prices will inevitably drop. Then to come on saying you've bought a house and having to state and make sure everyone is absolutely 100% clear about what a bargain you're getting in some kind of face saving exercise.... or perhaps even to convince yourself..... is pretty twattish tbh.
Sort of thing you've done here and on HPC it would seem.
Weren't you posting you were going to leave the country a few weeks ago??0 -

As a long term Tory, do you still fully intend to vote Labour then?As a long term conservative voter, I WILL be voting Labour.0 -

Well, once we have the completion paperwork, I guess I will be able to prove it, together with evidence if we purchase, we will be buying at around Q2 2004 prices.
I was, fortunately, I found a nice house in the UK I could afford, which ticked all the boxes. If it falls through and we cant find something similar, I am more than willing to move. Quite simple really. not going to cut my quality of life for greedy people thinking they can screw young people out of home ownership.0 -

But aren't you worried about the Alt-A timebomb that's heading our way?
It could decimate the economy.
As for, I might, I might not emmigrate, is it that easy eh? Just one day it's full steam ahead and the next it's off?
Fancy that.
The two families I know who've gone seemed to have to be quite one-minded about it. Not kind of flip-flopping about stuff all over the place.0 -

Could it be your perspective is biased and off?
People of your predisposition told us in 1980 that theUK would fall away as Japan, Taiwan and others were stealing all our business and that the end was deiifinitely neigh, yet we got richer!!0
