Just made some of this today, it's lovely and sooo easy. Very rich though, (*even*) I can only manage a small piece!
8oz Lidl Ginger biscuits, bashed with rolling pin into a mix of crumbs and larger pieces,
4 oz Value Butter,
2 tbspns Value Golden Syrup,
7 oz chocolate (got mine cheap at Lidl),
4 oz nuts (your choice, I used hazelnuts),
Handful of Value mixed dried fruit,
Line a 7'' or 8'' cake tin, or similar, with greaseproof paper or parchment.
In a large bowl, mix together the biscuit crumbs, fruit & nuts.
Melt 4oz of the chocolate, butter and syrup together in a bowl set over a pan of simmering water.
Mix into the biscuit/fruit/nut mixture and press it down hard into the lined tin.
Melt the remaining choccy and spoon over the top.
Decorate with some crushed nuts if the fancy takes you (I didn't bother).
Chill for an hour in the fridge before serving, in small slices, with a cuppa.
Enjoy
