If they leave the garden furniture you might be able to knock a few grand off.

The deposit looks good
The mortgage v's wage looks good
The house looks good
I think most FTB's would love to be in that position.0 -

ExactlyThere are double doors between the kitchen and lounge too, which is nice.

TBH, it has its pros and cons. The garden could be bigger for a start, as could the bathroom, but the 4 bedrooms and huge kitchen are major pluses.Get to 119lbs! 1/2/09: 135.6lbs 1/5/11: 145.8lbs 30/3/13 150lbs 22/2/14 137lbs 2/6/14 128lbs 29/8/14 124lbs 2/6/17 126lbs

Cleaver, I agree with your OP and know couples who are saving and can afford to buy whilst still having a life.

That is quite interesting. Can anyone explain this bit:Early Repayment Charges:
10 Year Fixed Rate Mortgage
Additional payments over 10% of balance or redemption in first 10 Years:- 6% Until 30.06.2016
- 5% from 01.07.2016 to 30.06.2017
- 4% from 01.07.2017 to 30.06.2018
- 3% from 01.07.2018 to 30.06.2019
- 2% from 01.07.2019 to 30.06.2020
Does that mean you can pay of 10% additional of your mortgage in the entire 10 year period? What's all the 6%, 5% stuff?
Someone help me here, I'm tired.0 -

So, you can fix for 10 years. You can overpay by up to 10% per year .... but if you overpay by more than 10% or want to pay it off .... you'll have to pay these extra penalties. These are the redemption charges, which reduce over time.0
