CCCS won't remove Debt from DMP

I've heard that it could throw your DMP into problems if you make additional payments to a creditor and other creditors kick up a fuss. However, I have a similar story to DeepInDebt - I recently phoned CCCS about paying off one of my creditors (not the smallest one, but one of the ones still charging interest and being pains in the ****!). I thought they'd tell me to spread it out to all creditors but they didn't. The woman at CCCS said in her experience they normally only find out about creditors being paid off when people had already done it and changed the balance online to zero - she said it was unusual for people to ask them beforehand!

I would go ahead and get rid of your Halifax overdraft seeing as it's a small amount. If anyone asks, just tell them the truth that it was a (non-repeatable) cash gift from a relative.
