Ok, finally straight(ish)
So, here is my SOA....
Income
Wages £224.93 per month (last Friday to be exact)
EMA £30 weekly during term-time (starts end of Sep)
Child Benefit(aka Clothing Allowance) £69.80 every four weeks
TOTAL: £360 - £410 (depends on EMA payent)
Outgoings
Mobile Contract - £30
Laptop Insurance - £12.99
Contact Lenses - £22
Health Insurance - £22 (from Oct)
Lunch (once a week) - £10
Petrol - £30
Clothes - £50
I'm sure there's more, but can't be sure until I'm back at college and spending in that mode again.
Contract is up end of this month - going to try and haggle, Dad's excellent at it.
Health Insurance will re-imburse £xx amount per year covering lenses. Plus, I have grown up with next to no immune system (undiagnosed cow's milk allergy) and find I need health insurance more than the average 19 year old. Also, will definitely hugely profit next year as going to be in hospital for around two weeks and they pay £66 per night.
TOTAL: £180
Debts
£1245 - HSBC Dad's Card - currently paying £50 per month - 0%
£390 (£600 limit) - IF Credit Card - currently paying £20ish per month - 4.95%
£653 - MBNA Mum's Card - currently paying £20ish per month - 0% till Oct, then some hidious APR 19.9% I think
The debts are from last year's car insurance, my old car going wrong alot and driving lessons mainly, a little is from store cards which we've been happily rotating for a year.
TOTAL: (min amount from money) - £81
I have to get car insurance in late October - as I said in post #37 and planning to stick it on any card and BT to IF card if I can make room so I have time to attack MBNA.
My aim - to clear this little lot in a year, when my EMA/CB ends and I'm into Higher Ed and loans (or not if I do really, really well and manage to save a little).
I think this is do-able because I've somehow spent £1000 this year out of my current account on driving lessons and tests  Mostly funded through EMA
Plus, I don't know how I'm short every month, according to this I shouldn't be!No longer using this account for new posts from 20130 -
Quidco is now showing as paid :j :j So minus admin fee is £25 - £10 to reinvest and £15 off the CC :T

Mobile Contract - £30 How about switching to pay as you go when your contract ends? I only put £10 a month on mine for emergencies and the odd text.
Laptop Insurance - £12.99 Do you need this?
Contact Lenses - £22 Check out Asda online - they do great contact lens deals
Health Insurance - £22 (from Oct)
Lunch (once a week) - £10 Can you make your own?
Petrol - £30
Clothes - £50 Cut this in half and try Primark/charity shops if you don't already.

Just a few ideas. What if the hokey cokey is what it's all about? :eek:Official "Bring back Mark and Lard NOW! or else (please)" Member 160 -
Thanks. So I'm paying things off okay?
Am working on the clothes, £50 is down from some hidious amount somewhere around £100!
Laptop - not old, was brand new last February but, it comes to college with me everyday (I can't write because of RSI and Tendonitus) and my last one got coke spilled in it (at home, my brother ) and the insurance payout was £1200 on a £700 laptop, so I'm afraid to get rid.
Phone - Going back to PAYG until Car Insurance is paid off, contract ends this month.
Lenses - Will check but have always been confused about the check-ups when you buy onlineMy health insurance re-imburses £130 a year (I think it's £130 - is about that anyway, will check tomorrow).
Overpaid on credit card this month as was actually due £75 in overtime, the overtime wasn't paid (again, see earlier posts) and so now I'm stuck.
Everything has gone out that is budgeted for, have half a tank of petrol and no more coming in until 29th and am £17 in credit - £20 borrowed from savings :eek:No longer using this account for new posts from 20130 -
Argh, moved £54.85 over from savings to cover health insurance, mum paid in £50 to pay to cc - both exact amounts went out.......
Quidco £24.95 went in ........ and yet I'm downWhat the heck? Grrr need to comb through accounts, again.
Work really don't know the trouble they've caused! :mad:No longer using this account for new posts from 20130 -
Little update....
Have found a much better phone contract, it'll save me a £5 a month because I insist on having insurance (college is a nightmare for missing mobiles ) but I'm much less likely to go over because it has a higer text limit.
Not spent anything since SaturdayMight be spending tomorrow, if I go back to work but that's budgeted for.
Then there's the decision to go out Thurs night, £5 (not drinking and will drive) and Friday night, friend's leaving party from work, haven't been out socially with this job before and had to miss the last get together so really want to goNo longer using this account for new posts from 20130 -
Anyone know where/how I can calculate (roughly) how much petrol I'm using going X number of miles?
I'm going 6 miles out of my way each day at the moment to pick up and drop off a friend, and she's given me £1 a day.
When she gives me a lift, she has to go 1/4 mile out of her way and I give her £1. It doesn't seem fair but I don't want to seem like a cow.No longer using this account for new posts from 20130
