I'm afraid to say that I do believe that what Peter Finch's character says in this short dissertation has truly come to pass.

So, when you watch tv, especially the "news", keep in mind that it really is a "carnival", or, better yet, a 3-Ring Circus that they present to us...

I think I may have mentioned it before, but you would enjoy Flat Earth News by Nick Davies, about how the press works in the UK. Quite an eye opener.

You told us this back in December Ash:

Any chance you could find some post-apocalyptic message or theme about new world orders in 'Gremlins 2' or something like that? I hear that 'Three Men and a Little Lady' has a monologue about the price of gold if you can give us a link to that?

A bit harsh Cleaver, Network is a classic. However I have heard that if you play Three Men and a Little Lady backwards you get the assorted ramblings of one Peter Schiff..

I really enjoyed it Cleaver. You'd certainly never read the newspapers (or watch TV news) in quite the same way. You end up thinking "I smell a press release here" and "what's missing from this picture?"

To be fair we do need to be controlled, some more than others.

I like Asheron just the way he is.

There are evenings I regard him as one of our more restrained posters.
