Icing hasn't set!

I made some fairy cakes and the icing hasn't set after an hour

Is there anything I can do, or will I have to scrape it off and start again

They need to be transported tomorrow otherwise I wouldn't worry

my first reaction - put them in freezer for ten minutes! especially if its royal icing. but if its fondant - well thats supposed to be soft anyway and may set a bit more overnight so put them in a cool room.
not sure if freezer is good idea or not - I am sure some sugar crafters will be along soon! so hold off a while pop the cakes into a cooler area and keep watching thread! I dont bake much but can remember icing a christmas cake and then putting it in freezer for a few weeks and the icing was rock hard!

If it's just icing sugar and water you could try dusting the top of the icing with more icing sugar.

if its just fondant icing id say the last suggestion about adding more icing sugar might work, if that doesnt its scraping it off as if its too runny it wont get less runny overnight... most probably...

Keyboard broke last night so couldn't reply!

Left the cakes out overnight and the icing set enough to transport without ending up with a giant gooey cake mess.

Phew!
