defaults - 'satisfied' or 'settled'?

hi again, if i were to offer full and final offer for say 50% of debt, what would i be best asking for to be placed on credit file - 'satisfied' or 'settled', or any other term if account was defaulted?

They mention the word satisfied in their debt/default/account letter so go with that. But in browsing the web I think satisfied and settled are the same thing.Although no trees were harmed during the creation of this post, a large number of electrons were greatly inconvenienced.
