Knew I'd forgotten something...

I was in a rush making two dozen fairy cakes. Put them in the oven and after a few minutes, I realised I'd forgotten something.
They didn't look like fairy cakes to me, more like Yorkshire Puddings. They didn't taste like fairy cakes either, more like sweet Yorkshires.
Then I realised ... I hadn't put any margarine or butter in
Now I'm stuck with 24 "sweet" Yorkshire Puddings. Can't put gravy on them and can't really put icing on them!! Any ideas?

no ideas sorry but it did make me laugh and remind me of forgetting to put sugar in a cake years ago :rotfl:!!
oh actually one idea - some people eat yorkshire and marmalade... maybe you could make them into a kind of bread and butter pudding... failing that the birds would be gratefulit's nice to be important but more important to be nice!! :kisses3:0 -
Warm them up, put a scoop of ice cream in each and drizzle some toffee/chocolate sauce over :beer:0

I 2nd having them warm with Jam. On Sundays we used to do that with the leftover Yorkies. There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.0

Just made another 24 but remembered to include everything this time! They've come out really well and the "jam and sweet Yorkshire pudding" is also very nice.0

I don't understand how that can happen, since butter is the first ingredient to go into a sponge mixI was born too late, into a world that doesn't care
Oh I wish I was a punk rocker with flowers in my hair0 -
Warm with warmed golden syrup is also very good - we used to get my Grandma to make a bit extra Yorkshire pudding for that purpose!0
