wash chicken under sink, stuff with herbs, pierce a whole lemon a few times with a knife then put it in the microwave for a few mins untill its good and hot, stuff(hot) lemon in chicken, place in oven , drizzle with olive oil, salt and pepper, in a hot oven(225c) i cook all my chickens this way, it only takes 1 hour, perfectly cooked moist chicken.mmmmmm0

We have a large terracotta chicken brick - bought from habitat years ago, makes the chicken really moist and the juices mixed with a little white wine to oven bake some rice, makes an almost nutty, rice dish.
As for 'normal' roast chicken I too use a lemon but squeeze half of it over the chicken crisps the skin and is my attempt at low fat instead of the butter or bacon option. Other half goes inside the chicken with an onion.

Make sure it is thoroughly defrosted before cooking if frozen. Check there are no giblets, removed if there are.
The chicken must be cooked throughly on a medium temperature 180c/Gas 5 then blasted to brown at the end.
You can sprinkle herbs or savoury spices on before cooking to give flavour. Also, you can stuff the cavity but make sure it is thorougly cooked too.
Take the chicken out 10 minutes before carving to settle.
Enjoy:)An average day in my life:hello: :eek::mad: :coffee::coffee::coffee::T:rotfl: :rotfl:
