Well this is my first time trying the challenge and am really trying to stick to my moneysaving ways :T .
Think I am gonna try and stick to £250 for 2 adults 2 kids (3 months and 2 years). this includes nappies and milk and 2 dogs. Not including drink as will see how it goes and include it next month  .
fingers crossed for the month.
TAlthough I get lonely  as a single mother there are always two smiling angels ready to give me the biggest hug in the world. Love you babies :grouphug:

Count me in again this month. I failed miserably in June with an overspend of £151.81 which is truly horrible. (It's still £2.36 less than my average for last year so still a saving).
In my defence I have just done a huge Makro shop for cleaning materials, paper products etc which should last a few months. We have had a LOT of family stay this month due to illness, more illness and bereavement - so we did a lot of comfort eating (and drinking) which I did put on the grocery bill. It didn't seem right to charge it to my "family occasions" budget!!
July will be a huge challenge as we have 3 family get-togethers (at our home as it has the most space) and we have a week off work which probably means more of a lunch than the usual packed lunch.
I'm going to try and stay within the £300 for the month.£2 coin savers club £42 (joined 2 May 2006)

June wasn't too bad - budgeted 100 and spent 97 (I think).
Am starting again tomorrow - have a week's holiday in Tenerife starting Monday 3rd but the rest of the month should still be quite hard as we have visitors and trips away etc.
I'm aiming for 100 again this month - I used to spend 75 a week for 2 adults and a small fluffy white dog!
Good luck

am in again this month..going to try and shave off £10 a week-babysteps and all that..
was pretty successful in june altho kind of lost it in the last month-i was
£30+ down on one week whoch i used for fathers day presents so i think i must have been doing ok, but the last week was really tight and i had to dip into the shopping purse, but still managed so i'm being positive and counting it as a success
i'm also off work now so i'll be more able to keep on top of making sure we eat whats in rather than go and get more..
am now also baking-museli slices instead of cereal bars and HM muffins in packed lunches instead of biscuits and crisps, lovely apple crumble today too..feeling good
havent counted up my £2+and packed lunch money or my change, will check tomorrow and update signature..good luck everyone!Budget for Jan/Feb £240 per 4 weeks
Week 1-£52  Week 2-£75
Week 3-£60.66Week 4-£29.98 Total=£217.58

This will be the first time I've done the challenge as well. I started the cupboard challenge a couple of weeks ago and managed to get some great meals, but it does mean that I've now run out of most items and probabyly have to do a large shop. There is 4 of us and I usually spend 350 a month on food, nappies, petfood and cleaning product.
This weeks shoping has come to a total of 25.00 so far.
Gonna try to keep it under 2000 -
Did well in June....another £30 I can add to my savings pot thanks to grocery savings. Doubt I'll make it this month though. We having the girls for a couple of weeks...teenagers. So chances are costs will rise. Will still try and keep to budget though.Baby Year 1: Oh dear...on the move

Done my big monthly shop
It came to £66.60 (including £12.66 of OH's  ) so I'm not including that in my budget as OH should be giving me the money back anyway
- Aim = £120
- Spent = £83.06
- Left = £36.94
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
I'm in too, did go slightly over last month with a budget of £200 including toiletries etc but that was due to sick pay running out so dipping into shopping budget for a few baby items (am now heavily pregnant and overdue by 5 days!) It wasn't a significant amount and literally was all due to the baby stuff we needed so we're going to cut down again this month.
We're going to go for £180 this month for two adults and a toddler (and a new baby at some point very soon I hope!) Luckily am using cloth nappies which we already have, just need to stock up on cotton wool for baby's bottom :A and am hoping to eventually persuade OH to go with the fleecey washable wipes we have had in our airing cupboard for ages but he wouldn't use with DD#1 as he said they didn't get rid of the dirt  Would save a fortune on wipes, hate the things mostly due to a) the extra cost and b) the long list of chemical stuff that goes in them.
Our month starts next Friday!Dealing with my debts!Currently overpaying Virgin cc -balance Jan 2010 @ 1985.65Now @ 703.63
