Boyfriend popped the question yesterday!
So...looks like we've set a rough date for April next year, probably over the Easter holidays. I'm hoping to work on a budget and it does help we have talented family and friends.
So far:
Mum is qualified florist and Nana was NAFAS chairperson in her area so flowers are sorted.
Brother owns a vintage car so that's the wedding car sorted.
Friends are DJ's and we have already sorted a band as well.
I want the wedding to have a vintagey unique feel as we are a bit unconventional and I think our main expenses will be suit hire for the groom/ushers/possibly male bridesmaid (lol) and the Venue
Does anyone know of any really good venues in the Preston area? We don't want to spend loads and some massively posh hotel wouldn't suit us.
Thanks

£6.00 for a bowl of soup at Salmesbury Hall?!
Hoghton Tower seems a little grand for what we're after.
Thanks anyway

One of my ladies had a vintage inspired day. They had a choice of pie and chips or fish chips and mushy peas. Desert was served from a vintage ice cream van and they had jars of sweeties so guests could help themselves.
Her wedding is featured in this Februarys edition of Perfect Wedding for any hints and tips. Not preston way but may give you something to think about.

That does sound lovely - as are your dresses. I think I've found a dress already lol. Give me 2 weeks and I'll have turned into Bridezilla!0
