well today i have hung all my wet laundry onto airers to dry not using the tumble drier,
bunged a chicken in the slow cooker in anticipation of a few meals and big pan of soup,
    made some biscuits
and shopped for a few essentials as the family all go back to work etc tomorrow and their lunch boxes will need filled.
updated my signature and filled in the spending diary.
    hey ho onwards and upwards.
    i have also got a bit of a dilemma=====
i have been paying into superannuation at work since i started in feb 2005, however, as i am off sick and my gp doesnt think i will be returning this year if ever i have approximately 2 weeks to contact the superannuation dept and cancel my payments and withdraw the cash already accumulated.
as i will be going on to ssp shortly and no hope of returning to work anytime soon i was wondering if i should indeed cash this money out or leave it sitting for my dotage (2 years worth aint gonna keep me long in my twighlight years).
    Any suggestions folks????
    regards

    hi Mrs A

Sorry to hear about your health situation.

As you know I have been off work a lot this year, and Ive got my head round a LOT of the legals. Do you use MSN - if so we can chat it over if you like.

If you need to go onto a lot of prescriptions, look at prepayment

If you go onto SSP, then you will be entitled to CTB & HB too, I dont know if youve looked into these, and your WFTC should go up too I believe?

Anyway, hang in there you will come good in the end, I know things dont always seem like it, ( see umpteen previous posts for me in despair!) but things DO look up, and sometimes out of bad comes good, as we know from being DFW ;)

    Love
    Lynzx
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast

    hiya Lynz,
many thanks for the offer re MSN but i mucked up my account and cant seem to find my way back into it......
im thinking that pre pay for the scripts will be cheaper in the long run, so i will get a form later today when i go to collect my ds script for him.
wouldn't be eligible for HB or CTB as i am lucky enough not to pay them anyway OH gets it paid as part of his pay, i have been advised to claim DLA as its mental health related so im phoning for a claim form in a minute (many thanks to the lovelies on the health board for that one),
when my pay goes down to half (which i expect on the 25th) i am phoning the WFTC place right away as i dont get any from them just now but as i earn significantly more than my OH we should get something from them.
    thanks for your imput
by the way any idea how i can cook the salmon for my dinner tonight (im asking you cos of your oh has high colesterol too and im not that keen on salmon but it bought so i will use it)
    thanks again Lynz
    regards

    good evening,
well i spent the day on the budget and i will have to revisit the money diet for my motivation and inspiration regarding the budget as im trying to work out how i will pay my bills (never mind the debts) if i happen to go onto half pay and then ssp,
so its another evening of that then off to research changing the utilities,
why is money so easy to spend and so hard to make???
    regards

    Good evening lovlies,

renewed my acquaintance with aldi and lidl today (found lidl to be cheaper), stuck to my shopping list and came in under budget!!!!!
on the other hand i saw a brilliant house today thats new on the market and just what we have always wanted.
was going to arrrange for a viewing but looking online at mortgages i dont think we can afford it (bbbbbooooooo hhhhiiiiiiiissssssss).
but its definatly inspired me to get back to work pronto have appointment next week with the gp so am def going to ask her to sign me back as fit as there is no way we can live off my half pay.
best be off and update the signature and spreadsheets again
    take care
    regards

    hello peoples,
not posted on here much as i have had nothing much of any interest to post about.
however, i have been paid and the months bills have been all calculated and paid this month i have paid
£385.76 to bank loan (regular payment)
£148.13 to car finance (regular payment)
    £50.00 to overdraft (regular payment)
£38.00 to credit card (direct debit for the minimum payment)
    £63.97 to overdraft extra payments
£50.00 to credit card over payment.
    thats a whopping
    £735.86 by my calculations
lets hope every month can be this good i know i have room for improvement now that i have actually worked out the dreaded budget.
now comes the hard part of sticking to it until next payday where i hopefully can make even more overpayments
hope everyone else is doing well too.
    regards
