I think paying for results is pants! My DS's both did well in their GCSE's & DS1 got A & 2 B's for his A level's (DS2's are out tomorrow), but I have never rewarded results with cash or gifts. They each got a hug & a meal of their choice cooked by me, and it seemed to satisfy them!

Don't feel jealous - they may well be in the mire in the future, when you & yours are all back on your feet & debt free :)

RE the psychiatrist, don't fret too much about it. They will be on your side - they are there to help you. I had to see a psychiatrist for my depression every week for about 6 months. I can honestly say that it is one of the best things that I could have done. He brought back my confidence, and made me realise that I am a strong person, and that I could have a happier future. I've since gone on to study a psychology degree, which gave me an even greater insight into depression as an illness, and so I was able to give my mum a lot of support when she was depressed recently. Congratulations on your weight loss. It sounds to me like you are well on the way to beating this bout of depression, as this will surely boost your confidence in your ability to achieve positive things. :) I used to do a lot of walking when I was depressed, and that also helped me.
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

£1783.05 not including cc repayments as I dont know what ur minimum payment obligations are to that!

    £2281.70 Coming in

So that leaves £498 somewhere if I've added that all up right.

At a glance at the SOA I would say
Alcohol and Smokes are good ones to cut down on or give up completely! Lifes not all bad tee-total! Trust me I know
£400 on food etc could be cut down. How many pets by the way?

Electric, is that per month? Seems high to me £58. Switch providers? Or just switch things off?
AOL when does your contract expire? You can get broadband for about £10 a month
Savings? How much do you have in savings at the moment? I can understand wanting some aside for emergencies etc but poss for now cut this down to £25, and overpay on the cc/overdraft till one os clear, and then add more to savings? How much do you envisage you'll need for xmas 07?
As with Sky? Can you either do without? (No I cant either!) or can you call and attempt the cancellation unless they can make it cheaper type convo?

Does it seem like you've got nearly £500 floating before paying the credit card etc, or maybe Ive missed something?
