Don't forget that a great many people living in these nice houses are up to their ears in debt, have nothing left over at the end of the month after paying for it all and are bricking themselves every time the monthly BoE interest rates are announced.
At least you can say hand on heart that what you have is yours.
I live in a very modest house and have a modest lifestyle but everything thats in it is mine and paid for in cash. My brother has the lifestyle you envy and even though he lives up here in East Yorks, his £800 a week income isn't sufficient to pay the bills and his wife also works. Between them they have over £1300 a week coming in and are so skint and up to their eyeballs in credit that they can't afford to replace the car my brother wrote off last week with anything other than a £500 banger.0 -

very good point, appearances can be deceptive. so many people are struggling at the moment
hally i can really relate to your situation...i am 33 and would love to be in our own home having children but we can't afford either at the moment....
concentrate on getting yourself in a good position, forget what other people are doing...x0
