Same here, if I wasn't ill I'd probably at least make some kind of effort to go out, but I'm quite tired and I really don't feel like it at the moment. OH was going to go to London, but he was saying he can't be bothered earlier, though I think he might change his mind later. I wouldn't have minded going usually, but they're all going to the same pub they always do which gets rammed even when it isn't new year and I really can't be bothered to fight my way through the crowd.
Is your OH going to be with you Maria? That sounds like a much nicer way of starting the new year than going out and getting far too drunk like a lot of people do, not that I've ever done that
. My sisters house in Cornwall has three floors, their living room is at the top and it has a lovely big floor to ceiling window which looks out over Falmouth harbour, and it has a log fire. It would be really nice to be there tonight writing a list of positive things like yours
