It's only material...but

Hi

I just want to have a little moan actually, my bag got stolen out of my locker today and luckily I did not take my wallet with me, so was just my bank card which I cancelled asap...but I am really upset.

I know it was only material things, my bag, my clothes and £10, but I saved my money from working extra hours to buy those clothes, and I just think RAH, how can people just take stuff like that and not even care that to someone they have worked hard for it and count every penny they spend.

Just not fair, sorry I sound pathetic, but it was my ony summer skirt I had and my bag went and rah and my sun tan lotion which costs about £10 these days...

Do I sound pathetic, to most people they could just go and replace it all, but I didn't budget this month for "replace stolen clothes"...

Moan over, gosh could have been worse, just annoyed.

Theft is also invasive. The content of your bag was your private property.

Where was it stolen? Work? Could you not complain and claim off their insurance???? The lockers they provided were obviously not adequte? or if it was somewhere else that would be my complaint anyway.

Really sorry about this - there are scum out there.

You don't sound pathetic in the slightest. Thieves are scum and I'd be pretty upset too. Hope you're ok.

I'd say go back and make a huge stink with the place you were at, ask to see the manager and if he cant help ask for someone higher.

Its unacceptable that they solely took details. They should have informed the police.

Its a violation on you and you have every right to be upset. It shouldnt matter if you had just an empty crisp packet in ur bag and a toothbrush, the fact it is it's your property!

Its a complete travesty that there are people out in the world that think its accptable to behave in that way.If only thieves stole from other thieves, they'd all still learn!

I'd kick up a fuss too. There may be no cameras, i'd bet your last pound though they are still insured for this kind of thing.
Thieves are scum of the earth(No scouse jokes please) and you have a right to feel upset.
    Hope it all works out.

I'm so sorry you lost your things, and does that mean you had nothing to change back into after swimming?

Go back, say that you have taken advice, and if you locked the locker they provided, especially if you paid for the locker, say that the locker was not fit for purpose, and you expect them to compensate you. Be pleasant, but firm, don't shout, say that you don't want to have to pursue a case against them, and if they can't compensate you, you'd like them to call the police in straight away to report the matter - for insurance purposes.

They won't like the police turning up, that'd be really bad for trade.

Go get them! They can afford it far more than you, and you'd be doing all their future customers a favour if you force them to take security more seriously.

Do let us know how you get on, or what you decide to do.
