Hi all,
I got a 20% off discount code for Very.co.uk (to be used on fashion only).
Valid until 30th November
Use: XX1880 -
I found this code in the London Lite newspaper; did a search here and I could not find it already posted so there you go:
£20 off when you spend £50 or above at very.co.uk
the code is ZQ427, to be inserted at the basket page.
The ad on the paper says "the offer is valid until 30 October 2009".
Hope this helps :j0 -
Doesn't work for me:wave:0
-
Sorry about that. i should have said I haven't used it myself yet, was planning to check it out during the week since the expiry date is October 30 there is no hurry.
I don't know why it would not work though. I have cut out the page in the London Lite (it's the London Lite issued on Monday 7 September, the offer is in a huge ad on page 24 by the way), and it definitely says "use promo code ZQ427 at the basket page to save £20. Offer valid until 30 October 2009".
I notice now there is no 'start date' for the offer, but I assumed since they put the ad in the paper on Monday this should work by now?
Lemme go give this a try myself.0 -
Ok, I have tried it and it doesn't work for me either.
Code should work for new customers/first orders (which I would be), and for orders over £50 (and I tried it putting a much more expensive item in the basket).
I am actually annoyed with them now because their newspaper ad makes a very clear promise of £20 off, and they should follow through.
I have filled the complaints form in the website explaining the situation and I added that they should not lure people into their website publishing codes if the codes don't work. Hopefully they will get back to me and, if they do, I will let you know :mad:0 -
It doesn't work. XX827 works, it gives you 15% off0
-
XX056 20% off.
Please note sometimes there are problems with codes as they should be issued direct to the person using them.0 -
Beware with codes, I have used codes with Littlewoods etc for a long time and never had a problem but today received a letter from Kays asking me to ring their investigations team . Phoned them and they have closed my account for abuse of codes and my other accounts are been looked into - so beware0
-
I appreciate your argument Mummyto2boys but, in my case, I have never shopped at Littlewoods (online or otherwise), and never shopped at Very.co.uk (online or otherwise). As a consequence, they could hardly claim I have tried to abuse their codes...
As for Claire's point, the code that I posted here was not issued to me or anyone else directly : it formed part of a large printed advertisement feature which appeared last Monday in one of London's free 'commuter newspapers' (the London Lite). In other words, Very.co.uk has actually paid money to have the code printed and distributed to the public at large, rather than targeting specific clients.
I remain therefore baffled as to why the code would not work
By the way, it may not surprise you to know that Very's customer complaint department has not yet replied to my e-mail.... I guess that will be a looooong wait......0 -
I saw the offer too- its being going on for about a week now (ptinted daily in the Lite since last friday I think) I don't have the code to see but maybe it changes daily? it is London bound? the code and offer are genuine, but Littlewoods always were a stickler for stupid ill-thought rules and maybe that model been transfered to very?0
