Ok. Today's Good News to prove it's all going to be ok....
1)Tomorrow I have an interview for my dream job that would also pay more than I get now.
2)I was shortlisted for said job out of 300+ applicants. Woo hoo me! So even if I don't get it, I can be bl**dy proud.
4)This weekend I made £150 through amazon, ebay and part time tutoring, which I can throw at a cc to get it paid off quicker!
5)Over the weekend, I picked up a box of books for free through freecycle, listed them on amazon, and 1 was worth £90, with a buyer waiting to pay £20 - so I sold it at the lower price for a quick sale, covering costs from picking books up AND making money! Other books in the box were worth £40!!!

Well done to all - esp Spud30 - don't worry about being too old to learn: mature students normally do better than teenagers, so you'll be fine.

My good news is that I discovered today that i'd paid off a credit card that I thought still had £80 to go on it and also that I (fingers-crossed) will have knocked £500 (WOW) off our overdraft this month.

Cool. Well done. I'm trying to pay off a cc before the end of the month too, so looking forward to posting that good news.

yay @ spud30 - glad you liked your first day. I actully loved the food at my school. The chips were great.

I am a Proud DFW (tm) cos today I made my very first overpayment (£10) on a debt. It's a small amount but this amount every week means debt paid off 3months earlier! using entitledto.co.uk worked out that if my claim for help with housing and rent goes through I'm going to be able to take less money from my shop so it can pay it's debts, I'll have enough to pay my bills and debts and then should be able to provide for my little family (rather than rely on the Government) a lot quicker.
This year I'm getting organised once and for all, and going to buy a house with my wonderful other half. And that' s final!

Current Pay Off Target : £1500

Food was actually very grown up Oberon.

My freebie lunch was a tuna salad with a jacket spud.

At least if times get really bad, I can eat there during the week and just pay to feed my hubby and kids !!!
