Piratess's Debt Diary

I wanted to start a diary if thats ok! because i always think i work better when i can write things down and know that others are reading about my thoughts etc ! think it stems from being at school! lol

Well Im in the process of writing 3 letters to the debt companys i mentioned last week, and im asking them to send me confirmation that they no longer hold the debt but am unsure how to word the rest or what else to add in the letter .. any ideas?

and then when ive recieved those im going to write to the catalogue company also, Im so worried that im going to get a letter through the post threatening court! when ive tried my damnedest to pay the bills ! but noone can find me its so frustrating!

As it stands at the moment i just dont see a way out! but then am feeling a bit down this morning so maybe thats why, we never seem to have any money! yet the whole reason i moved from my home in Cornwall was that we thought we would be financially better off and on paper we are ! alot more so! ... but where is it all ????
MY partner has no money left until pay day !!! .. and my 110.00 a week is going on shopping and everything else that we have to pay for! ..

oh! ........... im gonna stop babbling now i need to be doing somthing constructive !
Thankyou in advance for letting me babble ! xxxxx
Hoping to be a thinner me in 2010!

Can you not refinance onto better deals. A £300 social fund loan would get rid of the door knockers and store cards.

Hi, first of all dont panic.

I know thats easy for me to say but trust me, you are better off using your energy for positive things, theres more to life than money.

I apologise if you have already done this but have you already posted your SOA?

The people here can find and stretch money out of anyones budget, so even if you think you have sorted it, there may be something missed or indeed some advice someone on here can give.

With regards letters to companies, have you tried going through the CCCs or payplan?
These do this for a living and will probably be able to write more effective letters, if i were in that situation id definately let them take the reigns.

I hope it all works out and if you need advice or cheering up or just need to vent you are in the right place

    Best wishes

Sorry Kevicho forgot to ask ... what is the CCC and payplan? and how could they help ? ... I was paying a doorknocker an amount every week to pay 3 debts .. thro 2 companies and when i moved i gave him my forwarding details anyway last week id heard nothin so rang them! and they said they had passed the debts back to the catalogues! ... so i rang the catalogues to be informed that they couldnt find anything and that somtimes the debts are written off if they are a small amount which mine are! ,... i got advice and was told to write to them for a letter of satisfaction if the companies you have mentioned can help that would be great! do you have details of how to get hold of them ??

The CCCs and payplan are free charities that help you sort out your debt problem, usually by helping you budget, and also with regards contacting debtors in respect of gathering a repayment plan that you can afford
