So I now have my debt settlement figures which are...

Fixed loan £10,375.64
Flexible loan £9.636.31

Total = 20,071.95

After next payday, savings will exceed loans. (I am about £600 short).

All I need now is a new contract starting September. Then I will feel confident enough to pay off fixed loan, have some emergency fund, and start chucking cash at the flexible loan.

Ohhhh I want a new job!!!!

I also want to not be too scared to pay off fixed loan now but I am! Still - 2 interviews in the next 4 weeks lined up. Surely one will work out??

    don't you dare do that to yourself! you've got the fact that you had the wherewithall to stick to a plan and save all that money. you want to compare that with my £11.76 savings, that should make you feel better:p

    now stop it:naughty:

    It doesn't matter what it was spent on. What matters is its paid off. I could have paid off my mortgage twice over on the amount I have wasted on junk now I can't even afford to repaint the damn thing.
