Fake Tan

Could any one advise me how to successfully apply fake tan from start to finish.Exfoliating, moisturising etc.I have bought Pizz Buin, the one wih the dial so you can choose the shade.
I have only tried the gradual tan moisturisers before with awful results streaking etc.
Also how long does it last?
I am going away in december and would like to feel a little more confident wearing beachwear.
Any advise would be much appreciated.thanks.

  • make sure you exfoliate inthe shower/bath before applying. Then apply some moisturiser to any dry patches you may have ie - knees, ankles, elbows.
put a pair of latex gloves on and start applying. try not to rub the tan into the skin and instead use long sweeping strokes with the flat of your hand. there will be some lines left on the skin but will blend.

keep doing all over the body and if you would like it paler on any part of your face just add a bit of moisturiser to the fake tan.

once you have applied all the tan leave for 5 mins or so and take an exfloliating/buffing mitt and move in circular motions to remove the lines left from the tan. try to be careful not to rub too hard though or it will cause streaks. leave on the skin for at least 6 hours.

when you come out the bath or shower pat your skin rather than rub it dry as this can cuse it to go patchy and also moisturising every day and expoliate every 2nd day.

bit long but hope it helps a bit!
  • I think Kerry is spot on with her reply.
I find gradual tanning products take forever to dry which is prob why they streak.
Most good tanning products gives you a tan that lasts around 5 days or so. The one you have chose i expect would be the same.
never start frowning, because you never know who might be falling in love with your smile!

I tried the one shown on Gok a few weeks ago. Its a spray one. It dries instantly and provides good cover. Admittedly I did go a bit over the top with it as I was just trying it out but it works well and provides an even cover. I think the spray on ones give a better more even cover than the creams.
  • Thankyou for your replys.Going to give it a go next week.
I bought the Pizz Buin as it was reducedto £2.50 in wilkos last week.
Has anyone tried the tanning wipes?
