Hey all!
I had sent 3 token payments to lloyds, 1 for the OD, 1 for the CC and 1 for the loan all at a pound each.
Got a letter from all 3 departments saying they had payed them in etc...
Then I get a letter from the CC department saying you haven't made full payment - pay it now. plus they charged me £12 late payment (payment was sent 3 weeks in advance)
Then a letter from loan dept - you owe £101 (normally £102) - pay it now or it goes to our collections dept. plus they took £25 from my current acct as a late payment charge for the loan.
Then a letter from the current acct dept - you asked us to make a payment which took you over the OD limit (the payment in question is the £25 loan charge they took) now you are over the limit - we will charge you £15 a month for being over. £6 a day for being £25 over, then £15 a day for being £25-£100 over, then £25 a day for being £100+ over. we will charge you up to 10 times in one month.
THANKS LLOYDS THAT REALLY HELPS!!!
Got my appt with CCCS on thurs so will ask how to proceed just needed to get all that out as it was stressing me out so much!! Plus got all these letters in one day hahahahaha
I told them I was having problems but they want to make it worse - obviously
Not heard anything from Nationwide yet - that should be fun

Sorry not the bearer of bad news, DOnt expect it to get better with Lloyds.
I have just been forced to pay off my £460 overdraft due to them umming and arring over a DMP for the past 3 years,
1 month they were happy, 1 month they were back to charging.
Well other day I also got that letter saying they will charge me £15 for usingthe over draft, plus £20 charge for 10 days in the month each month till paid off, so they were going to start taking £215 on a sodding £460 overdraft.
I just took the money off my sister and had rid of the numpties.
I also have a huge credit card bill with them, but they are getting around £50 a month from CCCS, They still after 3 years have never stopped the interest and charged me charges for about 19 months into the 3 yrs too.0 -
Shelley im new at this too
But First thing the lady at the NationalDebthelpline told me was . open a less well known bank current account. it only has to be able to pay your wages in and have standing orders and direct debits. Take control back. Treat all debts the same. so Lloyds cant take money from your account , they may also restrict your account .
I am waiting to speak to a CCCS advisor too on Wednesday , hopefully to set up my DMP too. when you called them did they not give you a reference number. I would write to lloyds , quote the CCCS reference ans llet them know ur serious at sorting out problems. ! Might help. Ask them to freeze interest and charges Note writing means its written down and they must reply on that basis.
Hope it helps , wish u well

Step one is always to open a bank account with a bank instituation that you do not owe money to, otherwise they can offset from savings/current accounts to pay debts.
To see the different groups of banks, read this http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/savings/safe-savings#whatcountsAlthough no trees were harmed during the creation of this post, a large number of electrons were greatly inconvenienced.
There are two ways of constructing a software design: One way is to make it so simple that there are obviously no deficiencies, and the other way is to make it so complicated that there are no obvious deficiencies0 -
My new bank account is with a provider thats not even on the list its so small .. be harder to find it if they really want to chase me. Not that i dont want to pay ... i just want to be able to say what and when

I opened a basic acct with natwest so all my essential bills get paid from there and my wages and benefits get paid in there. The guy tried to offer me OD and CC etc and I told him NO!!!!
Beth - I would borrow the money off a friend/relative to pay it off and get it over with but the OD is £3k!!!!
I also quoted my CCCS number to Lloyds but obviously they are just a bunch of bleeps!!!
I have to laugh about it otherwise I would cry hahahahaha0 -
Sorry to here Shelley im with lloyds too , I havent fell foul of non payment yet will bear in mind.
Keep me posted on how ur discussion with CCCS goes, my feeling is when they get involved with creditors things might get better
As i said , info i have read suggests dont deal on phone , keep it in writing and keep copies of when u send things

Hiya Shelley, Im in that same position with LLoyds credit card
I owe over 4k on that so not an easy amount to just find from anyone. So im still half dealing with Lloyds lol.
All last week I was the same as you, If I dont laugh I would cry. I spent 2 hours in a branch last week for the 4th day running, just to get the account closed, speaking to loads of foreign collections people. Just so stressful.
I really do hope that they co operate better for you.
Justa thought, If you dont owe anything to HSBC, that they let me have a proper bank account even though I was with the CCCS. I have a cheque book and visa debit card. Cheque book no good though as no one takes them lol.
Anyways good luck with the DMP xx0 -
Thanks guys.
Beth I'm not planning a DMP (unless £1 token payments is the same as a DMP??) I don't have a surplus, my wages and benefits don't even cover my basic outgoings - I'm borrowing off my mum just to feed my boy and pay the essentials!
Should get better soon though with the Xmas rush - I work in a shop so more hours hopefully!0 -
Hi Shelley, I know how you feel with Lloyds its like a constant battle with them, and to be honest I thought it was just me until I posted about them on here, and realised that they have a pretty bad reputation, my OH has a 3k overdraft with them, which he set up a payment plan for, however they keep writing to him saying hes going over his limit etc and banging on charges, so then he has to phone them again to remind them of his payment plan again, and it just goes on and on every month, they really are ridiculous.
I wish you luck with them though and hope you get them sorted xxxx:j6 debts cleared since joining MSE:j:eek: Remaining debts... Very / Halifax Loan/ A&L / Virgin cc / Lloyds / Sister :smileyheaGetting Married 04.12.10 - The MSE way :smileyhea:dance: Making this house a home :dance:0 -
It always puzzles me that when it is patently obvious that you have no money to pay off the debt immediately they torment you with threats and extra charges, do they seriously think you are suddenly going to discover a pot of gold in the cupboard under the sink just becaues they have phoned you that morning! Hey ho and I see in the news that bankers' bounuses are back.0
