Well I seem to have gone baking mad!! Made 3 batches of muffins yesterday (banana - yum, chock chip, yum & cinnamon - yuk - think I forgot the egg!!) and gave some to my neighbors who both helped me with tv etc...then this am have made a carrot cake (ok but not great...bizarre texture) and pizza dough...must post whether I can freeze it (anone know?). All of which are much easier than I expected and the muffins were so simple - cant belive I havent made them before!! A convert! Am having great fun but wishining my not-big-enough-to-swing-a-cat-in kitchen was bigger...Have got a bit of a migraine (G&T...lightweight - only had 2 & feel like cack!) so going to take it gently...hoping I have work clothes for tomorrow as really dont want to iro & a snooze this pm is a definate must!! Feel like I am back on track and had a chat with myself that just because I am getting some money there is still a lot left to go & also have holiday and MOT next month....am way over budget & thankful that payday this week so I can wipe the slate and start with this months budget afresh! Even though I effectively made the money from ebay etc it still made me feel that I'd failed because I was over...although thats what the emergency money (in sep account) is for!! Still some left there though which is good!! All in all a good month I think; lessons learned and am well on the way; the novelty has worn off and the realisation that this is a way of life now has settled in but I'm actually enjoying cooking; feel scared but excited about starting my own (very tiny) business which will make a real difference long term to children who are adopted (the work is making life story books) and means I use my experience & hobby to make some dosh...hopefully!! Thanks for reading!! (sorry I just cant seem to do short posts!!)Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Even in the darkest moments, love and hope are always possible.0

Pay day and another card paid off..a tired yahoo. Feeling shattered but adding it all up see that I've paid off alot but also cross withmyself that last month a bit of a dfw disaster but onward & upward. Made cheesecake tonight as mum coming for 2 nights. Will be able to pay off 5000 when my money from my granny comes so remaining cc will only have 1000 left. Car boot on sat & have kept some back from cc to pay for hols...2 weeks away and am crawling toward it. All that ebaying & rushing about wiped me out but must go swimming as felt I had more energy...also reminded by consultant today that I am fat (no, really!) so must try (again) to loose some but cheesecake wont help eh! Hugs all..ffNerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Even in the darkest moments, love and hope are always possible.0

Woo hoo! Woo hoo! Well done!
On paying off the credit card! :T Don't beat yourself up about the non DFW month, it seems like a fair few of us had months like that. Plus, look how well you're doing, all those credit cards facing annihilation! Have a fab day hun xDebt Free Nerd No. 89, LBM: April 2006, Debt at highest (Sept 05): £40,939.96

Thanks Mol ...when you think about it logically over 2000 off debt is quite an achievement and I keep having to remind myself that its not a competition as have a tendency to compare myself to others! I could have paid an extra 200 off CC but feel safer going on hol with cash rather than CC. Got my pay slip today which explained why income was Ok but not as much as I expected and got a days pay (over 100, didnt realise I was paid that muc a day!!) deducted for the strike that I had to take part in that I didnt want to take part in which is REALLY annoying....never mind! Car boot on Sat which I'm 1/2 dreading as someone told me that people are vultures at the one we're going to...in the car before you've even started unpacking!! On a fabby note I did some networking today & seems like I have my first s/e extra work job!! Yahoo!! They seem confident in my abilities so will just do my best and see if they like it! Also sounds like it could be vaguely complex and therefore earn me extra dosharoo which means that I can hopefully do 1 job for the same money as I would normally do 2 in which is great for me! Got my mum here and we're all off for my boss/friends porche day tomorrow & then working from home Friday so should be good in no spends!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! yay at you making muffins, were you prancing round a spotless kitchen in a pinny as well, or did you just stick to muffins?
Well done on the extra job, and yes, £2k off your debt is brilliant! in 2 months I've not managed half that. This year I'm getting organised once and for all, and going to buy a house with my wonderful other half. And that' s final!

mmm cheesecake. I got some in my nuaghty nibbles shop the other day. Toffee own brand from the co-op - not very toffee flavoured, but very nice. Tried making my own once, Nigella's recipe. Went a bit wrong and didn't set properly. What's your recipe? This year I'm getting organised once and for all, and going to buy a house with my wonderful other half. And that' s final!

ahhhhhhhhh that diving gear is going to be the bane of my f****** life (this def deserves an f*****)...just had an email from the guy who bought it (for the absolute bargain price of 200...retail price about 1300!) and he says the octopus has a crack in it....have offered him a full refund if he returns it (he has to pay postage) and if he does seriously considering burning it as its been an unbelievable hassle....having said that I refunded the £10 he paid me for insurance as postage cost £15 less than I thought it would...(honest or what!) so maybe he'll let it slide....will let you know but wobder what elese could go wrong with it!! OK breathe....had a lovely day at Silverstone with my friend driving her porche...surrounded by testosterone inflated blokes which was highly amusing...their competitiveness is truely pathetic! Had a great day & only spent £10 in total ...being a good DFW took us all drinks and munchies for the car!! how converted am I ...would have taken a flask but dont own one!! (yet!!)..was going to take the muffins but alas ...home cooking gone mouldy! oops!! must freeze next time! Mol dont know whats got into me..am concerned that an alien has entered my body...will be making candles next...!! Seriously, before DFW thought the kitchen was just where the G&T was housed and now dont even drink that much!! worrying....obi...cheesecake recipe...go to tesco, cake making isle...but box, come home open packet...mix butter with biccie mix...open topping one, mix with milk put onto biccie base & cool!! I am going to make my own as know I can do better (listen to me eh!! delia watch out!)!!! WIll let you know good recipe when I find one...have gt Nigella but debating car booting her as dont really like her recipes...(am I allowed to say that?!!)...Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1!
